Feeling the Glow

Hello my beauties!

Getting my skin summer ready and for the long awaited holidays is literally one of my favourite things to do in the year. I have always been obsessed with using bronzer with a shimmer in my make up routine and within the last year, highlighter has also come into that equation. So when Temple Spa reached out to me to trial some of their products I was over the moon. They first of all asked me what my skin type was so that they could send me products that were best suited for me which made me realise how dedicated they are to helping people out there find the best solutions for their skin care. They have been helping girls (or guys) get that ‘Summer Glow How’ look with their summer glow range by throwing in a range of skin preparation scrubs, moisturizers (containing high SPF) and make up. As I am going on holiday to Portugal soon, I am trying my very best (I say best because we all know I am lazy with skin care) to prep my skin for the sun and get the best vitamins into my skin that I can take.

I wanted to spend this blog talking about the products they sent me because I have been enjoying them since that box of goodies came through my post box. Plus we all know by now that if I enjoy products, I love to share them with all my readers!

A bit about the company
Temple Spa is a company that started out with their main love for the Mediterranean which they promote through their vast range of products providing energy and life to all those that use them. Their motto “Your body is a living temple. Honour it, enjoy your life and live it too the full.” grasped my attention immediately because I LIVE for quotes like this. Recently, becoming a 27 year old young adult I have been wanting to look after my skin as best as I can, as they say around the age of 25 you should start being careful with the daily effects that life has on your skin. In other words, it stops bouncing back like it used too. To aid this, Temple Spa use natural ingredients as the earth holds many botanical’s that pre-made shells of recipes does not. Plant, fruit and legume extracts are all taken from plants and natural products that grow from the land in order to provide their customers with the best health benefits. If you don’t believe me, take a look on their website to find out more.

Glow Protect: Life Defence facial moisturizer
This product has SPF 25 daily environmental protection meaning that it can protect your skin against city pollution, which is great for me, living in London. Or, against the suns harmful rays. It contains rocket, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, which makes the skin more moisture ready, less dry and less prone to aging spots and wrinkles early on. I really love the way this product comes in a tube but also has a pump. At first I used four pumps into the palms of my hands because on the packaging it tells you to apply generously but after the first try I was soon to realise that actually two would be quite enough as a little goes a long way. My skin absorbs this really quickly and I don’t feel greasy when using before bed time. When I use this everyone says how plump and vibrant my skin looks the next day and it’s the only moisturizer I have ever received compliments about, so that’s got to be a bonus, no?! I think this is going to be a fab little product to take on holiday and I already can’t wait to start wearing it as a base before I apply my make up.

Healthy Glow: Bronzer/Highlighter/Blush
OH em gee. When I first saw this I thought, wow! I cannot wait to try this. I have honestly never owned anything quite like it. It’s a very high ended make up product for me, so I am super grateful to have been sent it to try out. I first used this in a ‘MY HOLIDAY MAKE UP LOOK’ over on my YouTube channel as I wanted to get to terms with how this can be used. I think it’s quite simply perfect to take on holiday because I am one of these gals that don’t like to wear foundation AT ALL when I am away. On holiday I tend to go completely make-up free during the day to let my skin breathe and also because let’s face it, make-up in hot countries…well, it just melts off your face. However, in the evening I like to use powdered products to soak up any moisture I may have on my face from the day so I don’t look too sweaty for the evening. Therefore, this nifty little product will help with just that. I don’t need to pack my bronzer, highlight or blusher because I will now have all of these in one go, ya get me?! It not only saves a lot of space in my make-up bag when travelling, but it also bodes well with my skin tone. It’s light weight and radiant, it’s the all in one for glowing skin. It also comes with a compact mirror (always very handy) and brush to swoop that glow all over your face or can also be used for contouring, fabulous no?

The Power Breakfast: Nutritious Scrub & Mask
“A health kick in a jar!” On the website TempleSpa describe this product as a ‘multi-tasking treatment that provides a scrub and mask in one’. The idea of it, is that it dissolves dead skin cells to polish skin. I can definitely vouch for this as after one use of easy application, my skin was already left feeling fresh, free from make-up (that could of been left over from taking it off) and pollution or dirt from being outside. Due to this, it de-congests the skin making it feel radiant and brighter which then paired with the Life Defence facial moisturiser, makes your skin feel smooth and balanced. This scrub/mask is great for combination skin and suits me down to the ground. My own skin is fairly dry throughout the day (worse in the winter months) with an oily t-zone at night and first thing in the morning.  This mask has helped to balance out my oily areas and I have already noticed a significant difference in my t-zone becoming less oily during these times of the day. The scrub & mask contains fruit juices, honey and chunks of oats which immediately pays close attention to the name of it being a great health kick to your skin every week. I don’t tend to have time in the mornings before work to use this so I have been using it once a week at night before I wind down for sleep and it’s aided my skin to rejuvenate over night and feel a lot fresher when I wake up in the morning. I tend to leave it on for 15-20 minutes to make sure it thoroughly soaks into my skin and provides the best results. This does not need to be used daily, but instead only once a week in order to keep combination skin feeling balanced.

Overall, I am very impressed with these products from TempleSpa and I just want to say a huge thank you to them for sending over such amazing products for me to try out. You guys all know by now that I only ever write up blog posts or feature products on my YouTube channel that I feel are worthwhile and I would be lying if I said these didn’t work for me.

Do you think you will check out any of TempleSpa’s products? If so, let me know in the comments below what you bought and what you thought!
