A straightener with endless possibilities using TYME Hair!

Hello my beauties & Happy Spring to you all!
I hope you have been enjoying this glorious blue, cold and crisp weather just as much as I have.

I am so excited to share this blog post with you as it’s something I have been wanting to touch on, now that the weather is getting warmer and we are starting to make ourselves look more glam for the Summer months ahead. Hair-care for me has always been a touchy subject. I don’t want to go into too much depth now, I shall save that blog post for another day and time when I feel ready but this is the first time I’ve ever posted about a hair care product to my little blog space and especially one that I think all girls can benefit from whatever the condition of their hair.

When I reached out to TYME hair I wanted to understand how their products worked. I had been browsing Instagram and had come across their product for the ‘straighten to curl in minutes hair iron.’ I’m going to call it an iron (even though I am British) because it has multiple uses, so keep reading on to see why and where I am getting at with this…I was super intrigued to see what on earth this product did. As a regular straightener user I was keen to see how on earth a straightener can really curl your hair in seconds without it snagging or causing too much heat damage in the process. The videos on YouTube and their website gave the impression that not only could I curl my hair with this product I could also use it to straighten, crimp and create the effect of beach goddess curls in seconds! I jumped at the chance of emailing them because I wanted to understand more as I consistently used my current hair straightener to curl my hair for nights out which can often leave it messy and with awful random crimps in the overall style. It also takes a while for this to happen and when you are in a rush you just don’t have time to do it! Gettit?! (Sorry that was a bad one so moving on…)

First of all I want to thank both Stephanie and Dan at TYME hair for their patience and kindness with sending me their product to try. There was a lot of mischief going on with the postal service (including one being stolen!) And after THREE attempts my hair product finally arrived safely to my work. I was absolutely buzzing to get home and try this out and after a week of usage I wanted to produce a blog that I deemed a significantly fair usage trial.

TYME state that their product provide ‘One Iron. With endless possibilities’ and IMO it does JUST that! The gold plated iron (which I think looks absolutely-effing-beautiful) heats up in under one minute, or 25 seconds to be exact as I timed it to see just how good this would be for those rushed mornings getting ready for work. The insides of the box also come with a sleeve for the iron so if you’re travelling it holds the iron together creating more space in your luggage, neat right?!

First of all, I used the straightening option and was pleasantly surprised with how straight and volumised it made my hair feel compared to my other straightener which I have had for a few years now. Secondly, I loved the overall design of this. It’s quite chunky to hold but when I used this as a curling iron I realised why. It’s curved edge provides a great support for curling and the brown guidelines show you exactly where to put the curling iron on either the right or left side of your head. The box comes with a brief guide which shows you this, but their website was SUPER helpful, as it contained lots of information and videos on how to style your hair using the iron. I also love the way the website have used this section to allow other people to demonstrate their looks so it can be shared to show newbies to using this product. The blue LED light flashes until it’s ready to be used, so it’s a simple guide to how quickly this iron heats up. The colours are that of rose gold which I am sure most of you reading this have already noticed and are therefore adding this to your wishlist right now.
The product retails at £184.50 which may seem a lot and to my bank balance it certainly would be. But I honestly haven’t come across anything remotely like this before, so I personally think it’s worth every penny and swipes GHD’s right out of the water!

On their main page of the website they also dedicate tons of pictures from girls who have used this product in photos, taken from Instagram or other social media and have wanted to share their look with the world. I think this has been a great idea and helped me to decide overall whether this was actually for me before I contacted TYME via email.
Thirdly, I was so impressed with the curling factor of this iron. I tend to opt for curling my hair when I’m getting ready for a night out with the girls as it makes me feel ready to paaaaaartaaaaaay! I was also super shocked to see that my hair looked and felt so volumised and bouncy even when curled. In fact my hair was so curly, it even stayed in till the morning with only a touch of hair spray to hold my overall look in place which is SUCH a first for me as I am usually plastering my hair in hairspray to keep the curls from dropping out during the night.

Below are some pictures of just a few different styles I created, to show you some of the possibilities you can use this iron for:

TYME also offer FREE virtual stylists over Face time/Skype which is so valuable and the best thing about this is that you don’t pay a penny for their time! They teach you tips and tricks on how to use your iron and show many girls from the UK and America how to use the iron properly. Booking a session is easy and can be done in 30 minute slots so can be easily slotted in during your busy day, which is great if you’re in a hurry but need a suitable style for a specific occasion!

Have you seen TYME advertised? It is something you would be interested in? How would you use your TYME?
I have also uploaded a Vlog this weekend over on my YouTube channel featuring this wonderful new product so please feel free to check it out!

Until next time girlies! x
