An Autumn Walk

It’s been a while since I have posted on my blog and there are no excuses, but quite simply that I have been super busy with my work/social life and quite frankly, nothing to blog about!

In a few weeks myself and Ash will be heading off on our adventures to Cuba for two weeks to fully switch off and hit the reset button. I say this because firstly, internet is almost non existent there (bar the pricey Wi-Fi parks) but also for us both to have time to ourselves enjoying and immersing in Cuban culture. Cuba is a place that I have always wanted to travel too and seeing as this might be our last large blowout holiday for a while, we wanted to spend it completely switching off from everything here (and that includes internet!) I promise there WILL be a blog about this on our return!

That being said, since we are going at a time that will be during the last few weeks of Autumn I wanted to take this time to spend a bit of time with my good old friend vitamin N (N meaning nature.)

We found this cute forest house hidden in the woods and I couldn’t help but take a snap!

N.B. The night before these photos were taken, myself and my friend Natalie had embarked on a Halloween night out, so what more of a perfect time i.e. the morning after the night before then to spend it out in the hidden parts of London getting fresh air into our lungs!

London has so many spaces of greenery that you can go and explore without being in the hustle and bustle of the city, and Autumn is the perfect time to explore these. The differing colours of the leaves, the mud squelching underneath your wellies and the fresh scent of damp woods always gives me such a nostalgic feeling. If there is one thing I miss about living near the countryside, this is it.

One of my favourite places to visit in London, Streatham Rookery

Luckily for me, I live in zone 3 so greener places are easier to find. Although I love going for walks on my own, it’s nice to share it with a friend, and what better way to top if off then with a hot drink and a heart warming meal in a cute little cafe at the end.

What do you love about Autumn? Do you like hidden woods to explore in during this time of year? Let me know in the comments below!
